Transitioning from 2D to 3D

To my surprise, my wonderful family gifted me a 3D printer for Christmas. I had been tinkering with creating 3D designs in Adobe Illustrator and printing items through a printer at work, in another department. But that involved a lot of waiting for when the device was available. I never imagined I would own my own printer. My new FlashForge AD5X is a four-color printer I have been practicing on since the holidays, and now I’m ready to share some of my creations with you. One of the first things I printed was an enclosure kit - a housing that enables you to add plexiglass windows to the printer, which makes it sound quieter. I did this and included my logo on the drawers and lid knob. I also printed a tray for my filament samples, then moved on to some larger items like Daffy Dark Knight. Then I moved on to create a custom business signage and practiced creating a sign containing NFC tags that link to my social media accounts that can be used at appearances. I’ve also designed some custom keychains, business card holders, cell phone holders, and name plates. One of my more interesting prints involved using AI to create a 3D model based on my illustrations and characters. My plan is to create more custom designs and signage. If you’re interested in my custom 3D printed designs for your business or to increase your social media audience, please feel free to contact me. Look for some design samples on my website soon.
